CBD and Sleep

CBD is an all-natural way to improve your sleep. Before we talk about how CBD can improve your sleep we have to talk about what causes you to have poor sleeping habits. 


There are many factors that can cause you to not be able to sleep. These can be caused by:

  • Anxiety 
  • PTSD
  • Medication, which throws off your sleep cycle 
  • Chronic pain throughout your body 
  • Caffeine when taken late in the day
  • Your environment, if you are around loud noise or an uncomfortable bed 


Research on CBD for insomnia is still in its infancy but the results have been very promising. 


Research “published report in 2019 looked at whether CBD could improve sleep and or reduce anxiety. The study involved 72 subjects, with 47 experiencing anxiety and 25 experiencing poor sleep. The subjects were each given 25 milligrams (mg) of CBD in capsule form each day. In the first month, 79.2 percent of the patients reported lower anxiety levels and 66.7 percent reported better sleep”. 


Chronic pain can lead to a restless night of tossing and turning. CBD is a natural anti-inflammatory that helps relieve pain in your body. It has the ability to soothe your aching joints and muscles, an allow for a pain-free night of sleep. 


Research shows that CBD affects your sleep cycle.  Research from 2014 “did studies with Parkinson’s patients and found that CBD Improved there REM sleep. They also discovered (RBD) which is a disorder where people tend to act out there dreams. RBD also has to do with poor sleep and nightmares”.  


Does CBD Have Any Side Effects 

CBD has no side effects and is all-natural. Sleeping medication like melatonin has side effects such as headaches, short term feelings of depression, daytime sleepiness, dizziness and etc. Where CBD allows you to have a deep relaxing sleep and wake up feeling well-rested with NO side effects.
